Why SimEffi exists
Isolated recommendations are easy. Sequence is hard.
Building owners are routinely handed recommendations one at a time: replace a unit, add controls, upgrade lighting, pursue an incentive. Each one arrives from someone with a product to sell.
The harder question — the one nobody is paid to answer — is how those decisions fit together. Which one first. Which one can wait. Which one should not happen at all.
SimEffi is designed to sit upstream of implementation: organize the available data, compare opportunities on a consistent basis, and identify what deserves deeper technical validation first.

Starting local is deliberate. Incentive programs, utility rate structures and benchmark data are regional, and a screening tool is only as good as the comparison set behind it. We would rather be accurate in one market than approximate everywhere.
