Data driven
We analyze real building data to uncover what actually matters — not what is easiest to sell.
SimEffi is being built in the Toronto area to help commercial building owners make better-informed retrofit and capital decisions.
Building owners are routinely handed recommendations one at a time: replace a unit, add controls, upgrade lighting, pursue an incentive. Each one arrives from someone with a product to sell.
The harder question — the one nobody is paid to answer — is how those decisions fit together. Which one first. Which one can wait. Which one should not happen at all.
SimEffi is designed to sit upstream of implementation: organize the available data, compare opportunities on a consistent basis, and identify what deserves deeper technical validation first.
Analysis stands apart from equipment sales. We do not sell, install or take referral fees on anything we recommend.
Measures are viewed through capital, savings, incentives and timing — not through energy alone.
Assumptions, confidence levels and limitations stay visible in the report rather than being hidden behind a score.
Regulated engineering and implementation decisions belong with qualified professionals. We say so explicitly.
We analyze real building data to uncover what actually matters — not what is easiest to sell.
We quantify costs, savings, paybacks and incentives so you can decide with confidence.
We help you focus on the right opportunities in the right order, sized to a real budget.
We screen available programs and show you how to access funding before you commit.
Clear, practical and executive-ready — so you can act, not just collect data.
Starting local is deliberate. Incentive programs, utility rate structures and benchmark data are regional, and a screening tool is only as good as the comparison set behind it. We would rather be accurate in one market than approximate everywhere.
What SimEffi is not. SimEffi is not an engineering firm and does not provide stamped energy audits, design services or regulated professional advice. Our reports are preliminary screens intended to inform which professional work is worth commissioning.
Tell us about your building and we will tell you whether an assessment makes sense.
