What this notice covers
This notice explains what information SimEffi Inc. collects through this website, why we collect it and how it is handled. It applies to simeffi.com and the forms on it.
Information we collect
- Details you submit through the assessment intake form, such as your name, contact details, company, building details, operating details and answers about the building's systems.
- Utility bills and other documents you upload with the intake, and any other building or utility information you choose to send us for the purpose of producing an assessment.
- Standard technical information collected by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability purposes.
Why we collect it
- To prepare the planning-level assessment you requested and to contact you about it.
- To understand which SimEffi services are of interest so we can prioritize development.
- To meet legal, security and record-keeping obligations.
How it is handled
We do not sell your information. We do not share building or utility data with equipment vendors, contractors or incentive program administrators without your instruction. Access is limited to people who need it to deliver the service you requested.
Sample-report requests
We collect the contact and company details you provide to give you access to the requested sample. Optional email and SMS marketing choices are separate from your request. We record your choices, their timestamps and the consent wording shown. We use Netlify to receive these requests and Supabase to store them. Contact hello@simeffi.com about your information or marketing preferences.
Service providers we use
We use the following third-party providers to operate this website and to prepare assessments:
- Tally: hosts the assessment intake form and collects your answers and uploaded documents.
- Netlify: hosts this website and runs the serverless functions that receive intake submissions and sample-report requests.
- Supabase: provides our application database, authentication and private storage for intake records, uploaded documents and assessment data.
- Google Gemini: AI-assisted extraction of information from uploaded utility bills and documents, where used in preparing an assessment. A SimEffi analyst reviews extracted information before it is used in a report.
Each provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to its service.

Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@simeffi.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update this page and the effective date below.
